U.S. Department of Homeland Security U.S. Coast Guard CentralCare Receives 2014 DHS Small Business Achievement Award

Annandale, VA, April , 2014 – CentralCare, Incorporated (CentralCare) has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to receive the 2014 DHS Small Business Achievement Award for outstanding work in support of the DHS mission. Specifically, CentralCare is recognized for performance during FY13 at US Coast Guard (USCG) Clinics in the South Region. CentralCare’s President and CEO, Mrs. Krystle Okoye, accepted the award at the 10th Annual DHS Small Business Ceremony conducted in Washington, D.C.

CentralCare is currently performing on the USCG Multidisciplinary Health Care Services Contract for the South Region. As part of the DHS, the USCG represents one of our nation’s five military branches.

This contract serves to provide the USCG with ancillary and allied healthcare professionals, comprised of family practice physicians, dentists, optometrists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, dental hygienists, dental assistants, certified medical assistants, and licensed clinical social workers, in a four US-state region and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Health care staffing services are currently being performed in the Coast Guard South Region at the following 10 multi-state clinical sites:

  • San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • Borinquen, Puerto Rico
  • Miami and Miami Beach, FL
  • Clearwater, FL
  • Key West, FL
  • St. Petersburg, FL
  • Mobile, AL
  • New Orleans, LA
  • Galveston, TX
  • Ellington Field near Houston, TX
